SMS Blog Hop: December Daily Title Page

Happy Blog Hop Day!

I’m SO excited to be working on my first ever “December Daily” album this month! I can’t wait to keep you updated on all of my creative progress. The Sparklers DT ladies have been hard at work on some gorgeous winter and holiday themed projects. If you’re following the hop, which you should be 😉 then you arrived here from Evi’s blog.

Here’s a picture of my stash piled up in preparation for some December Daily work. I didn’t buy a kit this year since apparently I like to do things the hard way. So for the past several weeks I’ve been collecting things I wanted to use in my album. Some of my favorite embellishments that will appear later include sequins from the shop, cork confetti, gold foiled products, vellum, and Pink Paislee’s Yuletide ephemera.

Today I’ll be sharing the first page of my DD album. I was inspired by other designers to include a calendar page.I created a simple 6 x 8 design and ended up cutting it in half so I could include a large shaker pocket. I used the “Cozy” sequin mix from the shop in my page protector and sealed it with my fuse tool (Still don’t have one? Find it here) I love how minimal the calendar feels – especially knowing I’ll use so much detail in the rest of my album.

I embossed the antlers of that deer cut file with gold and used dimension dots to adhere it to the outside of my page protector. I attached a navy heart feltie with a mini clothespin to the top to add some detail, along with some gold rub-on stars.
